Courses as electives

Students follow 24 ECTS worth of electives in the first semester of their third year*.

*Time will be reserved for electives in your programme during these periods. However, you are free to follow your electives at any time you prefer.

General tips for choosing electives:

• Consult study guides to view the content of courses and check whether you satisfy the requirements.
• You must register for courses in good time. Registration usually takes place via Osiris, although in some cases you should report to the student desk (for example, to register for Law courses you should go to the desk in the Grotius building).
• Talk to others who have already made their choice or who are also thinking about which electives to take.

There are various different types of electives that you can choose from:
