This course aims to deepen the students’ understanding of the concept of 'creativity' in the context of education in a globalised world. We will collectively explore the discourse on creativity and education as solutions to societal challenges as summarised in the Sustainable Development Goals. Students will distill key concepts from academic literature and develop a framework with which to conduct and analyse a case study from the field of arts education. Students will analyse their case study using methods of qualitative social science research that will be discussed in class.
