Aims
There are two types of learning objectives: objectives relating to communication skills and objectives relating to content (socio-cultural and entrepreneurial themes).
Objectives relating to skills:
At the end of the course you can ask for, process, structure and summarize information.
Objectives relating to content:
At the end of the course you can describe cultural, social and economic aspects of Spain, and compare these to those of your own country. Throughout this course, you will develop your oral and written Spanish proficiency at A1 level and your listening skills at A1/A2 level. Learning presentation skills and meeting skills are an important element of the course. In addition, you will acquire knowledge of and insights into the cultural, social and economic aspects of contemporary Spain.
Content
This is the first course in Business Spanish. As an introduction to the exploration of (part of) the Spanish market, the course will discuss a number of social and cultural aspects of Spain, Spanish life and business that are relevant for conducting business with Spanish people. In the first part of the course, the focus will be on informal, personal, oral and written communication. The focus in the second part of the course will be on formal oral and written communication in organizational contexts.
