At the end of the course, students will:
- be able to recognize and analyze English academic articles reporting the most frequently used types of research methods in the CIW research field.
- be able to apply the appropriate language skills such as register, style, grammar, and academic conventions, including citing sources using APA, to write in English.
- be familiar with different modes of communicating academic research, including scientific articles, research posters and popular science formats.

This course is an introduction to research reporting in the field of CIW. The course will analyze the format of scientific articles, explore how research reporting differs between various types of methodologies, and introduce other means of communicating research. In addition, students will work on improving their English language skills through practice and explicit instruction: reading academic articles, writing academic and non-academic English, and speaking English in an academic setting.
