Aims
At the end of this course, the student is able
  • to correctly name and apply characteristics of corpus research, experimental research and surveys
  • to choose appropriate methodological designs and statistical analyses for certain given research questions and hypotheses, and justify these choices.
  • to name characteristics of the two-way analysis of variance, argue when this analysis should be used and correctly report this analysis according to APA.
Content
During this course, students will deepen their knowledge and skills on methodological and statistical techniques. Specifically, the methods and techniques needed for both practice-oriented and scientific-oriented research. The goal of this course is to give students the ability to choose the appropriate methods and techniques for different research questions, how to apply these techniques and how to interpret the results of statistical analyses.
