In this course, researchers from several HLCS programmes (The Ancient World; European Literary History; Radboud Medieval and Early Modern Studies; (Trans)national identities; Tourist, Travel, Text; Studying Criticism and Reception Across Borders) will discuss their projects with students from the research master. Specific issues will be addressed regarding research questions, methodology, sources, availability and use of materials, peer review and project progress and delays. Under the expert guidance of an accomplished researcher, students will complete several assignments of relevance to the research field in which they specialise. These assignments will also include at least one visit to research and/or cultural institutions (Huygens ING, City Archives, Royal Library The Hague). |
