Cursusdoelen

The objective of the course is to provide students with an in-depth understanding on few important concepts and practical applications of multinational financial management decisions.

As a student in this course, you will learn the modern principles of international finance and how to evaluate financial decisions within international markets using econometrics tools.

After following this course you will be able to:

  • apply and analyze theories and concepts in multinational finance by means of exercises and case studies where financial decisions are made, both in teams and individually
  • analyze and contrast theoretical and practical issues in multinational finance through empirical research
  • report –verbally and in writing– about multinational finance research both from an academic and practical perspective
Inhoud
Multinational companies able to respond to changes in a global environment will be rewarded. As a student in economics you might become a future manager at a multinational company and you will have to make financial decisions on a daily basis. This course combines a strong foundation in international finance with practical applications to multinational financial management. To be able to look behind the scenes, you will learn to apply empirical methods to topics related to multinational financial management. Besides topic-specific context and empirical methods, you will practice how to write papers, how to give proper presentations, and how to critically reflect on other students’ progress.
