The course Current Debates in International Political Economy lays the foundations for the Master's programmes in International Political Economy that are offered by the departments of Economics and Political Science. Based on advanced knowledge of major approaches to national and international economics and politics, the course intends to map out the empirical domains of the world political economy by focusing on specific issues such as trade, international monetary relations, wealth creation, power, institutions and legitimacy. The course is team taught by instructors from the departments of Economics and Political Sciences in order to train students in the different perspectives of these disciplines on the subject and to investigate whether a combined, integrated approach is feasible. |
