Aims
The main objectives of this module are:

After completion of the course, students are able to
  1. Utilize Matlab’s data-structures, control flow, visualization, scripts and functions.
  2. Understand the core concepts, definitions and rules of basic linear algebra.
  3. Understand basic linear algebra and signal analysis.
  4. Apply this knowledge to translate data-analysis problems into mathematical notation and solve them using MATLAB.
Content
The module

The aim of this course is to provide students with little or no background in mathematical modelling and little or no experience with programming the necessary programming skills and/or mathematical knowledge to perform basic data-analyses and modeling in MATLAB. The classes will combine lectures on basic linear algebra and signal analysis with lectures on using these skills within the MATLAB programming environment. In addition, students will be provided hands-on experience by working on exercises and programming assignments during practical sessions.
