The main objectives of this module are:
After completion of the course, students are able to independently design an experiment, analyse, and report the collected data, as is typically done in scientific internships.
After completion of the course, students are able to:
  1. which problems could play a role in the execution of an experiment
  2. choose an efficient research design based on the research question being explored in the experiment while taking into account confounders and sources of variation.
  3. globally determine the subjects needed for an experiment.
  4. choose an adequate statistical technique according to the character of the data (measurement level) and the research design, and use this technique on the collected data.
  5. adequately interpret and report the results of the analyses (output).
The module 

In this course is on the design and analysis of experiments. Often used designs and more complicated designs will be studied. Focus is on designs that are useful in laboratory experiments, animal experiments, and smallā€scale experiments with humans.
