Met de scriptie laat de student zien dat hij/zij: - een probleem kan kiezen en inperken
- een bijpassende onderzoeksvraag kan formuleren
- een combinatie van (in de Bacheloropleiding aan de orde gekomen) wetenschappelijke methoden en/of technieken kan selecteren om het probleem op te lossen
- de resultaten helder kan weergeven (in de vorm van een wetenschappelijke scriptie en (tussentijdse) presentaties) en kan reflecteren op het oplossingsproces.
In de Bachelorscriptie staat het gebruik van methoden voorop; de inventiviteit ligt vooral in de combinatie ('breedte'). Als contrast: in de Masterscriptie ligt de nadruk meer op het zelf uitbreiden, toetsen en in complexe situaties toepassen van (geavanceerde) wetenschappelijke methoden. |

The bachelor thesis is the summit of the bachelor program. In the thesis project you prove that you can find and determine a relevant scientific problem, and solve it using methods that you have learned during the bachelor programme. You present your work with short and long presentations, and deliver a scientific bachelor thesis.

You need to have passed 120 ec of the preceding courses, including all of the first year courses.

The bachelor thesis project is an individual research project. You select your supervisor who is an ICIS staff member of at least assistant professor (UD) level. The supervisor evaluates and grades the process, the formal bachelor thesis document, and the formal oral final presentation. The supervisor selects a second reader who evaluates and grades the formal bachelor thesis document and the formal oral final oral presentation. The supervisor uses this input to determine a final grade that will be communicated and checked with the bachelor thesis course coordinators.
