Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- find scientific literature using professional tools, such as reference managers and targeted querying.
- critically evaluate and interpret scientific literature and relate findings to each other
- use concise and targeted language for the description of scientific ideas
- write scientific articles with confidence
- differentiate between what information belongs in which article section
- follow simple but effective rules for constructing a scientific article

- The student knows how to differentiate between the value of peer-reviewed articles and grey literature
- The student knows how to formulate research questions
- The student has a basic knowledge of commonly used research methods

Students will write and submit a research paper. This project will be split up into 5 intermittent assignments and a final assignment. The assignments are all graded and weighted.
