This course replaces MOL009 and MOL015 of previous years. The contents will remain equal.
Mathematics 2:
After this course you can
- integrate functions in one variable by means of substitution, partial integration and partial fractions
- investigate aspects of curves in dimension 2 and 3 by parametrisation, differentiation and integration
- understand and apply integration techniques for dimension 2 and 3
- perform calculations with polar and spherical coordinates
Mathematics 3:
After this course you can
- understand and investigate differential equations and apply the standard solving techniques
- perform calculations with complex numbers and complex functions
- apply complex functions to second order differential equations, integrals, series and discrete processes
- apply combinatorial techniques and linear recursion to iterative processes
