After finishing this course you:
  • are familiar with basic experiments in E&M and their qualitative explanations
  • can explain and use the Laws of Lorentz, Biot-Savart, Ampere, Faraday, and Maxwell.
  • can give quantitative answers to simple problems the Lorentz Force, Magnetic Fields and their sources, the Bio-Savart and Ampere Laws, dia-, para- en ferro-magnetism, Induction, Faraday's Law, self-induction, simple AC circuits, and electromagnetic waves.
