Aims

The aim of this course is that the successful student will be able to
  • perform basic calculations with real and complex numbers,
  • manipulate the standard functions (polynomials, powers, trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic functions, ...),
  • perform basic algebraic manipulations (equations, matrices and vectors in low dimensions),
  • differentiate functions in one or more variables,
  • approximate functions using series (Taylor, Maclaurin, power series),
  • integrate functions using several techniques (partial integration, substitution, ...)
  • parametrize and analyze curves in low dimensions,
  • solve ordinary differential equations using various techniques (complex exponential, ...).
