The aim of this course is that the successful student will be able to
- perform basic calculations with real and complex numbers,
- manipulate the standard functions (polynomials, powers, trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic functions, ...),
- perform basic algebraic manipulations (equations, matrices and vectors in low dimensions),
- differentiate functions in one or more variables,
- approximate functions using series (Taylor, Maclaurin, power series),
- integrate functions using several techniques (partial integration, substitution, ...)
- parametrize and analyze curves in low dimensions,
- solve ordinary differential equations using various techniques (complex exponential, ...).
