- Neural networks dynamics with neurons that generate action potentials as well as networks in which neurons are described by means of their average activity.
- Representation of stimuli by neural networks, map formation in cerebral cortex.
- Mechanisms for memory formation in neural networks.

In this class we will describe how to formulate models for neural networks, how to simulate them, how to analyze them and how these networks may carry out computations that lie at the basis of brain function. In the practical sessions we will carry out theoretical and computer exercises (in python). We will also review necessary background knowledge (differential equations, probability ).
Instructional Modes
Theoretical classes plus computer practicums
