The Mathematics 1a course is specially designed for Artificial Intelligence students. The course covers the mathematical subdisciplines of calculus and combinatorics with applications from the above-mentioned academic field. Each subdiscipline will be concluded with a partial test. The course consists of nine lectures and nine study group meetings. The course material will be presented in the lectures while the study group meetings will be used for discussing solutions to homework assignments and for working on new assignments.
Solving the exercises is an essential part of acquiring mathematical skills and for this reason the submission of homework and attendance to study groups is compulsory.
