The main goal of this course is to introduce students to the current, state of the art methodologies used in behavioural science research. Students will learn which methodologies are used, what the main advantages and disadvantages of different methodologies are, which practical steps are involved when using the methods, and to which research questions in the field of behavioural science the various methodologies can be applied.

The course consists of workshops about the following methods: (1) Behaviour Observations, (2) Reaction Time Tasks and Eye Tracking to Study Attention, Associations, and Action Tendencies, (3) Online Research, (4) Immersed Virtual Environments, (5) Agent Based Simulation, (6) Multimodal Analytics, (7) Psychophysiological Measurements, (8) Qualitative Interviewing and Focus Groups. Active participation in the workshops is required. In addition, there are literature discussion groups.
