Aims

The course gives an overview of the functions and structures of brain regions and circuitries involved in perception, cognition, emotion, and motion.

Content
The students will get an introduction into the human neuroanatomy by means of both lectures and practicals. The practical work involves the macroscopic dissection of the human brain. In addition, brain slices will be examined and compared with the 3D specimens.  In addition, students will get the opportunity to visit the pathological museum to get an impression of the anatomy of several brain pathologies.
Finally, comparative anatomical and functional brain areas will be studied in the rat brain by both macroscopic dissection and microscopic study. Knowledge of the course material will be tested with a written exam.

Preliminary schedule, check Brightspace. For students that don't have access to Brightspace, all materials and announcements will be posted in a dropbox folder: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/env2p38h18sa3r4/AACOgsC8LPo-6Iu1lryw49rFa?dl=0
