	Cursusdoelen Upon completion of this course you will be able to: set up and conduct a simple study to generate new knowledge on a psychological topic you find interesting. to appropriately communicate about your research both orally and in writing to share your research results.   These skills are crucial both within the psychology programme and in the future profession later on. In the Bachelor’s 2 and Bachelor’s 3 year you will further develop your research skills in Research Project 2, Research Project 3, and the Bachelor’s Thesis.   Inhoud Research Project 1 (RP1) starts in February and is preceded by Academic Skills for Psychologists (AS). In this training you will try to answer several psychological questions of your choice as a researcher, helping you to develop your research skills. Also you will further develop the communication skills you learned in AS by reporting your research results both orally and in writing. You will attend both AS and RP1 in the same group, with the same work group teacher, using a psychological theme of your own choice. You will develop your academic skills the whole first year in a set group. Assessment and weights Active participation: active participation in the meetings is a prerequisite for successful completion of this course Mentoring assignments: completing these assignments is a prerequisite for successful completion of this course Certificate Indiana University Plagiarism Test: completing these assignments is a prerequisite for successful completion of this course Research paper, including compulsory feedback assignment (70% of the final grade) Poster presentation (30% of the final grade). Course enrolment B1 students who participated in AS do not have to register through Osiris; enrolment is not necessary because you will continue in your AS group. Have you not taken AS this year?
