Content
The goal of psychopathology is to understand and explain psychological problems. Psychopathology focusses on the emotional, psychological, social and behavioural aspects of human functioning during the entire cycle of life. Knowledge of personality, human development, psychopathology, psychodiagnostics and intervention dominate the field of clinical psychology. This course will give insight into various psychological problems, such as anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and depression. We will emphasise the description of and possible explanations for the various forms of psychopathology, as well as their development. We will also give insight into the risk factors and protective factors which, during the cycle of life, exert influence on the occurrence (or absence) of psychopathology.
