Psychology frequently uses questionnaires and tests to measure people’s personality traits, skills and mental problems. In the Psychometrics course you will become familiar with the principles of measuring these properties and interpreting the results. Classical and modern test theory and the principal features of measuring instruments, namely reliability and validity, will be discussed. We will examine the construction of new tests and questionnaires, the role of factor analysis in this process and the analysis of test results with SPSS.
