Aims
Upon completion of this course:
  1. You will have knowledge of the main subjects in the field of organisational psychology at the individual level (motivation, learning, extra-role behaviour), as well as group level (teams, leadership, communication) and organisation level (organisational theory, structure, culture, change).
  2. You can draw a link between the various subjects and contrast different theories with one another.
  3. You can apply this knowledge to assess existing situations in organisations.
Content
An organisational psychologist studies behaviour within organisations, andinvestigates the determinants of that behaviour in the person, the group, the organisation and the context of the organisation, as well as the effects of that behaviour on the effectiveness of the organisation, and on the health, well-being and performance of its employees.
The course presents important subjects from organisational psychology, such as:
1. Organisational theory: structure, culture, change
2. Groups and teams
3. Leadership and power
4. Behaviour in organisations (counterproductive behaviour and extra-role behaviour)
