Aims

The course PSMWOH10A covers all five learning criteria of the master Work, Organisation and Health (EK1,2,3,4,5).

Content
This course represents an introduction to the curriculum of the Master ‘Work, Organisation and Health’ and consists of part A (4EC) and runs parallel to part B (2EC).

In Part A of this course an introduction is given into theory and practice of the three interrelated subareas within the field of Work & Organisational Psychology: (1) occupational health psychology, (2) personnel psychology and (3) organisational psychology. The course helps students to become familiar with relevant developments and professional opportunities within these subareas.

Within each subarea, a theory-based lecture is provided as well as a more practice-based lecture. Students also actively participate in practical assignments and cases, learn how to successfully apply their theoretical knowledge to an actual case in the work field and are able to obtain a realistic view of the job opportunities within the field of work and organisational psychology.
