Content
During your graduation research project, you can use the opportunity to work outside of the university on a real-world research problem in the theme you have chosen. The project can be carried out at a company, in a (non-)governmental organisation, or at the strategy department of an academic or industrial research lab. We also very much encourage that you go abroad! In your research project, you will apply what you have learned in your courses in the real world.

The requirement of a SMI-research projects is:
- It has to be a research project at master level. It can have a natural science component, and it must have a social-science research component, meaning for instance business administration, policy, innovation studies or behavioural science, using social science literature and applying social science reseach methods.
