 After this course you can  understand and investigate differential equations and apply the standard solving techniques
 perform calculations with complex numbers and complex functions
 apply complex functions to second order differential equations, integrals, series and discrete processes
 apply combinatorial techniques and linear recursion to iterative processes


Mathematics 3 is an extension of Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2, with emphasis on differential equations, complex functions and discrete mathematics.




Obligatory: • Book Mathematics 3 (Wim Gielen, 2015), available at the start of the course 
• 16 hours lecture • 16 hours problem session • 52 hours individual study period 
• First Order Differential Equations • Complex Numbers • Complex Functions • Homogeneous and Nonhomogeneous Second Order Differential Equations • Iterative and Recursive Processes 
Intermediate tests and final written exam.
