After completing the course, the student is able to
- independently acquire in-depth knowledge of chemometric techniques
- show the application of these techniques on examples
- compare these techniques with alternative methods
- present the techniques and the results in a 30-45 minute lecture

Students are asked to give a presentation about a chemometric subject, typically a lesser-known chemometric technique or principle. Students should study the principles of the subject and, where possible apply it to an existing dataset. A comparison with other alternative techniques is important as well. The course aims at deepening the knowledge in the field of chemometrics.
