The purpose of the course is for students to:
  • Acquire knowledge about theories and practices of innovation management, to research and develop a new sustainable alternative to societal and technological challenges
  • To understand how theories and practices of Innovation Management contribute to the achievement of current sustainable development goals.
  • Recognize and interpret different theoretical perspectives on aspects of innovation management-related science in society (in the scope of the SMI specialization tracks).
  • To understand theories and practices of innovation management and the value for scientific knowledge and product development aligned to the SMI specializations.
  • Acquire knowledge on the development of science-based business ideas and the use of Business Model Canvas to elaborate innovative ideas to contribute to societal and market needs
Inhoud
Innovation Management is the systematic process of organizing innovative practices throughout your business, organization, institutions, and even in your personal life.  The aim to study innovation management is to give rise to a creative culture where breakthrough ideas are generated on a continuing basis. Understanding theories and practices of Innovation Management, complex, large-scale innovation objectives can be broken down into manageable goals that various participant groups can focus on.

This course focuses on issues of innovation from a sustainable management perspective. Students will acquire knowledge about the structure and nature of the innovation process (product as well as process innovation). In addition, the course focuses on understanding the way innovation processes are embedded in the practices of management, strategy, and marketing.

This course is aimed for MSc student of Faculty of Science, Management, and Innovation-Specialisation. Previous knowledge of Innovation Management is not required
