We would like to announce the Summer School on “Eye & Inflammation”, which will take place in Cologne, Germany, from September 7–11, 2026. Deadline for registration is June 30th , 2026. This interdisciplinary program is aimed at postgraduate life science students, medical students, and early-career PhDs with an interest in ocular biology, immunology, and translational research.
Topics include:
- Corneal inflammation and (lymph)angiogenesis
- Immune-mediated and (neo)vascular vision loss at the retina
- Metabolism in eye disease
- Ocular stem cells in health and disease
- AI in advanced eye imaging
Hands-on workshops will cover:
- Ocular tissue dissection
- Flow cytometry
- Tissue culture
- Immunocytochemistry
- Microscopy and OCT imaging
- Image analysis and bioinformatics
- Molecular biology techniques
