dr. A. Ansteeg (Anastasiya)

I am a postdoctoral researcher working in the field of energy transition governance and energy justice. I work on action research projects, in close collaboration with urban professionals, municipalities, designers, artists, and communities of residents.

My main expertise lies in co-creating knowledge with underrepresented communities, using arts-based methods and embodied techniques. I mainly work with photography and zines (self-published magazines), among other tools.

Before my position at Radboud, I worked at Tilburg Law School for three years on the Horizon project BOLSTER, where we explored Just Transition policy through the eyes of marginalised communities. My task within the project was to analyse the governance of the transition towards innovation-based economies. I analysed how triple-helix and quadruple-helix models were developed in three regions, Eindhoven (NL), Basque Country (ES), and Cluj County (RO), and what their implications are for spatial and social structures.

My PhD, at TU Dortmund, was on the role of participatory arts in shrinking cities. I did fieldwork in Germany and Latvia.
