My interdisciplinary research focus has been to examine how language and culture are interrelated in real-life situations, such as medical encounters. Specifically, I integrate theoretical and methodological insights from ethnomethodology, conversation analysis and ethnography to study the interconnections between language and culture in medical interactions.
