I am a postdoctoral researcher with a background in analytical chemistry and applied nanotechnology. My research focuses on developing and applying advanced sensing and data‑analysis technologies for sustainability‑driven challenges, particularly in food safety and circular materials.
I am trained in chemistry, nanotechnology, and lab‑on‑a‑chip systems, with a strong emphasis on translating analytical methods into practical, real‑world applications. During my PhD research at Wageningen University & Research within the EU Horizon 2020 project PHOTONFOOD, I developed integrated sample‑to‑result workflows for the direct, label‑free detection of food contaminants. My work combined paper microfluidics, immunochemistry, 3D printing, and infrared spectroscopy to enable novel mycotoxin detection platforms.
In my current role, at Radboud University in the interdisciplinary project CHOWSAI (Control of Household Waste Sorting by Artificial Intelligence) I contribute to the integration and interpretation of sensor‑based measurements and data‑driven methods that support real‑time monitoring, process control, and decision‑making in plastic waste sorting systems, helping to improve material quality and support the transition to a circular economy
