S.T.E. Bruls (Stijn)

During my PhD project 'Up2Standards?' I study the impact of digitalization and standardization efforts of Health Information Exchange practices on the daily work of and collaboration between acute care professionals. This project is a collaboration between Nictiz, Sint Maartenskliniek, iHub and Institute of management research. I employ qualitative research methods such as organizational ethnography, expert interviews and document analysis to study the use, redesign and implementation efforts of an information standard for the acute care. Our theoretical framework builds on Information Infrastructure, process research, practice theory and Information System research.
