S. James Ellis is a PhD candidate of the Marie Curie ITN Program FINDER, a competitive research grant by the European Commission working in Strategy and Innovation at the department of Business Administration of Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He is also part of the team of the Radboud Centre for Organization Restructuring.
The FINDER program has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 813095. The research and training program is driven by a collaboration of Radboud University and Atos, teaming up in this trajectory over a period of four years.
He holds a Masters degree in Globalization & Development Studies from Maastricht University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications & Media Studies from Arizona State University. Prior to his Master’s, he worked for 6 years as a broadcast journalist for the United States Air Force, where he reported on US and NATO military activity in Florida, South Korea, and around Europe.
His research focuses on organizational networking and revolves around the following research lines:
• The narratives intrinsic to organizational networking
• The roles of change agents in dichotomously governed companies
• The dynamics of money and power in coopetitive ecosystems
