I am an environmental scientist interested in how chemical elements and pollutants move through and transform within natural systems. My research explores how climate and human activities influence the delicate balance between the atmosphere, ice, ocean, and sediments. My specializations lie in biogeochemistry and pollutant dynamics, and I also have a background in molecular microbiology.
In my PhD, I combine fieldwork with advanced analyses to investigate how interactions between organic matter, iron, and microbes regulate carbon storage and greenhouse gas emissions in high-latitude coastal ecosystems.
