With a background in English and Spanish literature and linguistics, as well as language teaching, I am particularly interested in second language acquisition and pedagogy.

For my PhD project, I investigate what it means to learn to write in the age of AI. As a part of the NRO-funded AWARE project, I focus on the effects of generative AI usage in academic essays on university students’ writing processes, as well as their finished written products. My research is aimed at providing pedagogical guidelines for future academic writing education and assessment in the age of AI.
