Nele Kadastik is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Language and Communication, where her research focuses on Narrative Persuasion in Prosocial Storytelling. She has a background in Media Technology (MSc) and previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Augmented Cognition Lab at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she focused on investigating perception, cognition, affective states, and aesthetic experience in relation to multimodal media, extended reality, and cognitive technologies.
Additionally, she worked as a co-lecturer for the elective Medialogy master’s (MSc) course in Narratives in Interactive Systems and contributed to the design, coordination, and oversight of experiments that focused on XR, narrative cognition, and interactive digital narratives (IDN). She is a member of the EU COST action INDCOR (Interactive Narrative Design for Complexity Representations, CA18230) and contributes to the ARDIN (Association for Research in Digital Interactive Narratives) research community.
From February 2021 to April 2023, she worked as part of the Horizon 2020 project SPICE, which was dedicated to developing novel digital tools to foster active citizen participation and engagement in the cultural heritage domain.
