Kirsten Lassing holds a BSc in laboratory research and a MSc in biomedical sciences from Radboud University, specializing in toxicology and risk assessment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked as a technician, focusing on detecting infectious diseases in patient samples. Currently, Kirsten is a PhD candidate in the Medical Microbiology department at Radboudumc. Additionally, she holds an external position at Radboud University, contributing to the Environmental Science cluster of the Radboud Institute for Biological and Environmental Sciences (RIBES). Kirsten Lassing is passionate about clinical microbiology and the broader field of exposure and risks, aiming to challenge herself by integrating multiple disciplines to address the fundamental question of aerogenic exposure to respiratory viruses.
