NWO-XS-funded postdoctoral researcher in developmental psychopathology and Psycholoog NIP, with a research focus on how momentary processes shape resilience and mental health in youth. Expertise in ESM and longitudinal data with innovative approaches to multivariate time-series analysis.
In my PhD, I focused on multivariate dynamics in emotional processes (e.g., emotion differentiation, emotion transition, and emotion regulation variability). I approach these questions at the intersection of theoretical significance, clinical relevance, and methodological advancement.
Currently, I study how adolescents adjust social interactions (in terms of duration and partners) upon feeling lonely, and whether these adjustments are effective in reducing loneliness.
My research vision is to build a practice-based research line that connects developmental science to everyday support for young people, an ambition already reflected in seed-funded research in a GZ-psychology setting.
Prior to my research career, I was a clinical psychologist in a maximum security prison in Hong Kong.
