Docent - Strategisch Personeelsmanagement
I work as a lecturer at the Strategic Human Resource Management group of the Nijmegen School of Management. In 2015, I received my PhD from VU Amsterdam. The focus of my dissertation is on ethnic diversity and career experiences in professional organizations.
My research interests reside particularly on diversity in organizations, the role of normalized organization processes and practices, and the exploration of potential alternative diversity interventions. With respect to the latter, I am particularly interested in exploring the potential of learning’s derived from human-animal interactions.
In my lectures and seminars, I provide a highly interactive work environment, challenging students to take a critical perspective on the topics discussed. Also, I embrace opportunities to incorporate experiential learning in my teaching, with the consequence that every once in a while, one of my lectures may take place at a horse stable…
