dr. A. Perego (Aurora)

Aurora Perego (she/her) is a post-doctoral researcher at Radboud University. In 2023, she obtained her PhD in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento (Italy) with a dissertation on the digital solidarity interactions developed by LGBTQIA+ civil society actors in Italy and Spain.

Since 2023 she has been working within the framework of the EU Horizon Project CCINDLE, where she examines feminist responses to anti-gender politics and democratic backsliding.

Aurora's research agenda focuses on collective actions, social media and (de)democratization, with a specific attention to gender, sexuality, and intersectionality. She is a qualitative researcher by training, but she has expertise in mixed-method approaches to research.
