A. Pottarath (Amna) MSc

With hands-on experience in the academic publishing industry and a strong interest for research integrity initiatives and global knowledge production, I am currently a PhD candidate for the Disapeer project, researching how transformative developments are reshaping the editorial process and the roles of stakeholders in an increasingly globalised publishing landscape. My part of the project will primarily involve qualitative interviews with key stakeholders to better understand their perceptions of academic and disciplinary identity, their connections to epistemic communities, and how these relationships influence their decisions to accept or reject review invitations. My experience at Taylor and Francis Group (T&F) has honed my skills in managing ethical issues, ensuring compliance, and optimising workflows. I have also worked broadly on identifying and addressing predatory publishing trends, analysing special issues/proposals, as well as auditing peer review processes.
