ing. S.L.M. Raqbi (Suzanne)

Suzanne is a marine biologist and biotech engineer with a wide range of research experiences. Her current research focuses on the impact of warming on the growth and metabolic rates of Antarctic ectotherms, also investigating how Antarctic invertebrates compete with potential bioinvaders.
She completed her first master's degree in biotechnology engineering at Sup'Biotech Paris in France. During this degree, she did an internship in scientific communication and a master's thesis at the University of the Antilles in the French West Indies, where she investigated the presence of microbial contaminants from wastewater treatment plants in coral reefs.
In 2023, she graduated magna cum laude from the International Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), focusing on marine conservation and restoration. Her second master's thesis with the Technical University of Denmark was focused on metabolic scaling of fish in French Polynesia.
