M. Reinmöller (Milo)

I study how people convey and interpret each other's communicative intentions in face-to-face conversation, focusing on co-speech hand gestures, their interaction with facial expressions and vocal prosody, and their embedding within larger conversational structures. To investigate this, I conduct controlled experiments—including behavioural and EEG studies with virtual humans—alongside conversational corpus analyses.

I am part of the Communication in Social Interaction research group (https://www.ru.nl/en/departments/donders-centre-for-cognition/communication-in-social-interaction-cosi). My PhD project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Judith Holler, Dr. Marlijn ter Bekke, as well as Dr Kobin Kendrick from York University, UK.
