Yvonne van Rossenberg is Assistant Professor in Strategic Human Resource Management at the department of Business Administration of the Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands since August 2017. Previously she worked a Assistant Professor at the School of Management, University of Bath, United Kingdom School of Management, where she also obtained her PhD in 2014.

Research interests include the (human resource) management of employee motivations, attitudes and behaviours in innovation processes, particularly workplace commitment. Her research has been accepted for publication by Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal and Human Resource Management Review.

Particular research interests include:
Firstly, workplace commitment in contemporary work settings. Particularly, I look at how people develop commitment towards multiple and temporary groups over time, how these commitments interact, and how these commitment attitudes affect employee behaviours.

Secondly, I am interested in the sustainable and responsible management of workplace commitment and related employee attitudes and behaviours, inside and outside the boundaries of organisations. How can we develop and maintain a sustainable commitment system? I am particularly interested in answering this question with regards to the academic setting.

Thirdly, I am searching for the meaning of the concept of workplace commitment outside the mainstream work setting. For example, what does work mean in temporary work, work across the boundaries of the organisation and in precarious working conditions? How are commitments experienced in relation to the key social-societal challenges we are facing, such as the refugee crisis, the energy transition and global warming.
