Dr. Stefan Schembera has joined the Organizational Design and Development group in January 2020. He is passionate about exploring the role of corporations in alleviating societal problems. His research interests focus on corporate social responsibility, fighting corruption, organizational legitimacy, and global governance. Stefan Schembera has gained extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative analytical approaches.

Dr. Schembera regularly collaborates with researchers from other universities such as the University of Zurich (CH), TU Munich (DE), or the University of Queensland (AUS). His work is published in renowned organization journals including Organization Science, Strategic Organization and Business & Society. He is frequently presented at leading international academic conferences such as the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting or the European Group of Organizational Studies (EGOS) Colloquium. Stefan Schembera is member of various academic associations and actively engages in an ongoing knowledge transfer in the field of organizational responsibility.

Before joining Radboud University, he graduated in Business Administration at the University of Tübingen and received his doctorate at the University of Zurich, where he had been working as a research assistant with the Chair of Foundations of Business Administration and Theories of the Firm (Prof. Andreas G. Scherer) since 2012. His dissertation project on Organizing for Corporate Social Responsibility and Fighting Corruption in Global Business was finalist of the Best Dissertation Award of the Academy of Management Social Issues in Management Division.
