dr. A.A.J. Smits (Armand)

Armand Smits is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Change and Design at Radboud University, where he also earned his Ph.D. He was previously affiliated with Maastricht University and Eindhoven University of Technology.

His research examines how organizations and interorganizational collaborations initiate, implement, and institutionalize new products and work practices. He studies these processes through in-depth case studies, tracing processes, and configurational methods such as fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), focusing on complex organizational and interorganizational pathways of change. His work spans diverse sectors, including manufacturing, professional services, and social enterprises.
