dr. A.A.J. Smits (Armand)

Armand Smits is Assistant Professor of Organisational Change and Design at Radboud University. He received his Ph.D. from the same university. Previously he was affiliated with Maastricht University and Eindhoven University of Technology.

His research focuses on the development and implementation of new standards, products, and practices within and across organizations to ensure acceptance, robustness, and credibility. His work lies at the intersection of organization theory, innovation studies, and sustainability. He uses research methods suited to unpack complexity, such as in-depth case studies, fsQCA, and tracing processes.
