With my work, I support software engineers during the construction and analysis of complex software systems. Software engineers often design systems and applications by using models. I provide techniques that can analyse these models to give feedback on questions of security, privacy, fairness, performance, and correctness early, sometimes even before the system is built. I also support engineers with automated tools that help to transform the models towards the final software system. I apply my work in various application domains, including robotics, web-based systems, and development tools.

Recently, I have investigated systematic practices for the engineering of AI software, which becomes increasingly important as AI is finding its way into all areas of society.
