D. Usmanova (Diana)

Diana Usmanova is a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Migration Law (CMR). Her PhD focuses on Ukrainian migrants’ legal consciousness and their experiences with law and state institutions across Poland and the Netherlands.

Diana holds a master’s degree in Transnational Governance with a specialisation in Migration from the European University Institute (EUI). Prior to her PhD, she worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Project Officer on research and policy projects related to migration governance, humanitarian response, and socio-economic resilience.

She is also the coordinator of the Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research (NNHRR) Working Group on Migration & Borders.
