Rosalie Versmissen studied early modern history at the University of Leiden (BA) and Utrecht University (rMA). She worked as a research assistant at Utrecht University and the KNAW Huygens institute. Her research interests include the intellectual, cultural, and political aspects of book-reader relations.

Rosalie is a PhD candidate in the project: 'Civic Fictions, Modelling book-reader interactions in the Age of Revolution, c. 1760-1830'. This project investigates the relations between fiction and citizenship in eighteenth-century, revolutionary Europe. Her doctoral research focuses on the reading culture of the Dutch members of parliament between 1798 - 1830. In her research, she includes digital network analysis.
